Description

Studying mass loss in young stars is an essential part in understanding how they form, evolve, and how the environments surrounding them change. Statistical analyses of spectral signatures of winds and jets in young stars allow for a better comprehension of not only stellar but also disk evolution, as well as a better understanding of how the mechanisms of accretion and ejection relate to each other. The aim of this – currently in progress - work is to investigate possible correlations between the properties of the [OI]\(\lambda\)6300 line, a well-known tracer of winds and jets, and properties of the star-disk systems in the young open cluster NGC 6530.
