Automatic procedure for deriving open cluster metallicities
Description
A new fully automatic procedure capable of computing the four main cluster parameters (distance, reddening, age, metallicity) has been developed. The approach is based on the the work by Pöhnl & Paunzen (2010) and, therefore, focuses primarily on determining metallicities of open clusters. The procedure can been applied to the cluster data from different photometric systems (currently included: Johnson BV, 2MASS JKs, Gaia GBpRp). Thanks to the Gaia mission, there has been an increase in the number of known clusters. Together with the advances in the membership probability determination, and due to the overall improvement in the open cluster data quality, metallicity determination based on the photometric data may become more available than ever before.
