Type locality. Between Troubridge Light and Cape Jervis, South Australia (approx. 25°20’S 137°40’E).
Material examined. South Australia. Holotype male, AM P.60651, between Troubridge Light and Cape Jervis, (approx. 35º20’S 137º40’E), 20 m, sponge on mud bottom, 14 March 1978, coll. D. Blake and H. Larsen; 4 specimens (1 male, 1 female and 2 juvenile male), MV J62172, east side of bay, Pearson Island (33º57”18’S 134º15”42’E), 20 m, 17 April 1985 (SA 55); 3 specimens (1 male and 2 juvenile male), MV J62167, The Hotspot Reef, 5 nautical miles west of Flinders Island (33º40”48’S 134º22”30’E), 21 m, 20 April 1985 (SA 72); 4 specimens, MV J56868, shallow reef, Wallaroo (33°56’S 137°37’E), 1.8 m, no further information.; 1 specimen, MV J19527, Williamstown (37°53’S 144°54’E), 2 m, 4 April 1990; 12 specimens, MV J56557, north-east side of Topgallant Island, Investigator Group (33°43’00”S 134°36’36”E), 12 m, 21 April 1985 (SA 78); 2 male specimens, SAMA C6724, off South-west point of St. Francis Island (32°30’0”S 133°18’04”E), 34 m, 29 January 1982, coll. Hutchings; 1 female, 8.0 mm, dissected, 1 slide, AM P.85214, Bramble Point, Princess Royal Harbour, Albany (35°02'S 117°55'E), 1.5 m, seagrass Posidonia australis, 18 January 1988, coll. P.A. Remarks. This species has the mandibular palp article one swollen distally, similar to that in the genus Parelamopus, however in M. euroka article two of the palp is longer than article one.
Distribution. Victoria. Port Philip (J.L. Barnard 1972). South Australia. Pearson Island, Flinders Island, Investigator Group, Wallaroo, Williamston (current study), Cape Jervis (Lowry & Springthorpe 2005). Western Australia. Albany (current study).
