Musca assimilis Fallén, 1823a: 56. Type-locality: South Sweden. Lectotype ♀, MZLU (designated by Pont, 1984b: 281).

General distribution: Throughout the Holarctic Region, also Hawaii and Midway Atoll.

Muscina pascuorum (Meigen, 1826)

Musca pascuorum Meigen, 1826: 74. Type-locality: not stated (Germany, probably Stolberg). Lectotype ♀, MNHN (designated by Pont, 1986b: 236).

Siberian records: Novosibirskaya Oblast’ (Sorokina, 2006a: 223); Respublika Altay (Sorokina, 2006b: 138); Port Baykal, near Irkutsk (Draber-Moṅko, 1966: 10); East Siberia (Pont, 1986a: 60).

General distribution: Throughout the Holarctic Region, and north-west parts of the Oriental Region.

Muscina prolapsa (Harris, 1780)

Musca prolapsa Harris, 1780: 139, plate 41 fig. 32. Type-locality: not stated (South-east England). Typeseries lost (Pont & Michelsen, 1982: 38).

Musca pabulorum Fallén, 1817: 252. Type-locality: not stated (Sweden, probably Skåne province). Lectotype ♀, MZLU (designated by Pont, 1984b: 291).

Siberian records: Tomsk (Wnukowsky, 1936: 123); near Biysk (Sychevskaya, 1978: 82); West Siberia (Pont, 1986a: 61).

General distribution: Throughout the Holarctic Region, north-west parts of the Oriental Region, and St Helena Island.
