Material examined. South Australia: 1 specimen, SAMA C6625, 20 km west of Outer Harbour (34°46′47″S 138°28′50″E), 23–25 m, 17 April 1975, coll. J. McPhalain, (Quadrant G 10); 7 specimens, SAMA C6630, east of Petrel Bay, St Francis Island, Nuyts Archipelago (33°30′6″S 133°17′23″E), in rock pools, 29 January 1982, coll. W. Zeidler; many specimens, SAMA C6639, east of Petrel Bay, St Francis Island, Nuyts Archipelago (33°30′6″S 133°17′23″E), in rock pools under rocks, 27 January 1982, coll. W. Zeidler; 1 specimen, SAMA C6489, northwest of West Island, Franklin Island, Nuyts Archipelago (32°30′35″S 133°15′7″E), intertidal rock pools, 24 February 1983, coll. W. Zeidler and P. Aerfeldt; 1 specimen, SAMA C6745, north of West Island, Franklin Island, Nuyts Archipelago (32°30′35″S 133°15′7″E), in rock pools and shallows near spit, 26 February 1983, coll. W. Zeidler and P. Aerfeldt; 1 specimen, SAMA C6746, north of West Island, Franklin Island, Nuyts Archipelago (32°30′35″S 133°15′7″E), in rock pools and shallows near spit, 24 February 1983, coll. W. Zeidler and P. Aerfeldt; 3 specimens, SAMA C6490, northern point, Hareby Island, Sir Joseph Banks Group (34°35′4″S 136°17′49″E), under rocks in shallow intertidal pools, 28 January 1985, coll. S. Parker.

Type locality. East Bass Strait, 8 km south of South East Point, Wilsons Promontory, Victoria, Australia (39°12.9′S 146°27.3′E).

Distribution. Australia. Victoria: Wilsons Promontory; Lake Tyers; Point Ricardo (Krapp-Schickel 2008). South Australia: Outer Harbour; Nuyts Archipelago; Sir Joseph Banks Group (current study).
