Leucothoe orkneyi Holman & Watling, 1983

Leucothoe orkneyi Holman & Watling, 1983: 231–233, figs 12–14.

Type locality and specimens. Southern Ocean, South Orkney Islands, 61°26'–25' S 41°055'W. Holotype, male, 9.0 mm; paratypes, male and female, 4.5–9 mm.

Material examined. No material available for examination. Diagnosis based on description by Holman & Watling (1983).

Diagnosis. Ventral keel anterior margin excavate; anteroventral corner with projection. Maxilla 1 palp constricted. Maxilliped outer plate tuberculate. Gnathopod 1 carpus and propodus narrow; dactylus short. Gnathopod 2 carpus short with large subdistal tooth; dactylus geniculate. Coxa 6 with facial setae. Pereopods 5–7 bases narrowly expanded. Epimeron 3 posteroventral corner produced.

Female (sexually dimorphic characters). No significant sexually dimorphic character.

Habitat. Habitat not reported; 593–604 m.

Host. Unknown.

Distribution. Southern Ocean: South Orkney Islands (Holman & Watling 1983).
