This paper presents a whole genome perspective to identifie deleterious and functional genetic variation in egg layer breeding lines which are under intensive selection.

This study also received funding from the STW-Breed4Food Partnership, project number 14283: From sequence to phenotype: detecting deleterious variation by prediction of functionality,. it was also supported by NWO-TTW and the Breed4Food partners Cobb Europe, CRV, Hendrix Genetics and Topigs-Norsvin.
