Description
Fidicinoides pronoe (Walker, 1850)
Cicada pronoe Walker, 1850: 144.
Cicada compacta Walker, 1858a: 14.

Fidicinoides pronoe Boulard and Martinelli, 1996: 49.
Fidicina pronoe Salazar Escobar, 2005: 195.
The species has been reported from Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil and Trinidad and Tobago (Metcalf 1963a; Duffels and van der Laan 1985; Boulard and Martinelli 1996; Sanborn 2001, 2006b, 2007a,b; Salazar Escobar 2005). It has been reported from Manaure (Distant 1881a; Jacobi 1907) in Colombia.
