Type locality and habitat. P. jeanneli: Port Hopeful, Port Louison and Ile du Port, Kerguelen Islands, Indian Ocean, 10, 13 and 18 February 1939, on stones at low tide; H. (A.) watsoni: Macquarie Island, [between Australia and Antarctica], on algae on coastal rocks; under rocks on the beach; in mud; in nest of Pachyptila desolata [Aves: Procellariidae]; in litter of Colobanthus muscoides [Caryophyllaceae], Poa annina and Poa foliosa [Poaceae].
