MANAGEMENT OF TERRITORIAL SOCIO-ECONOMIC SYSTEMS FUNCTIONING AND DEVELOPMENT

Description

Ensuring the effectiveness of mechanisms for balanced socio-economic development of the region based on purposeful institutional transformations is a priority of the national economy of Ukraine. This problem has a special theoretical and practical significance in Ukrainian society, which is going through a difficult period of transformation of the socio-economic relations system. In modern conditions, this problem acquires special significance from the standpoint of increasing the role of regions, which entails the expansion of regional economic interests, the emergence of new forms of their expression.
The subject of research is the theoretical and methodological aspects of the formation and functioning of the region’s socio-economic development mechanisms.
The purpose of the study is to manage the functioning and development of territorial socio-economic systems.
The theoretical and methodological basis of the study is the dialectical method of cognition and a systematic approach, which have led to a comprehensive study of issues related to the activation of socio-economic development of the region.
Results of work. The study identified the coordination and integrating role of regional policy in regulating the development of the socio-economic potential of the region, which involves the inclusion of the following components of the regional economy in the reproduction processes: natural resources, budget and finance, production potential, as well as allocation subsystem and management process planning subsystem.
Conclusions. Achieving the economic and social results established in the current and future periods in the process of managing the regional economy development in conditions of high instability of the environment significantly depends on the interaction of technological, resource elements, the efficiency of the regional development management system.
