In this article analyzed self-portrait of Maurycy Gottlibe. There we have a new sign from a dual position of religion tradition view and new kind of lightening movement called gascala of Jews. Article shows the changing of self definition of the artist in poly cultural area not only the Galizia but also the Europe. With the beginning of emancipation of Jews self identification of the artist was totally changed. Also shows like the poly ethnic and poly cultural sphere of Galizia and Europe created the new art of Jews and the artist of new art of Israel on the national scale.
