Description

This package contains the data used in the research article: "Excess soil moisture and fresh carbon input are prerequisites for methane production in podzolic soil" published in Biogeosciences.

flux_data.csv contains the measured CH4 fluxes and corresponding ambient air temperature, 5 cm soil moisture and 5 cm soil temperature during the flux measurement.

CH4_potentials.xlsx contains the measured CH4 oxidation and production potential data

data_soil_moisture.csv contains the time series of measured 5 cm soil moisture at the flux points.

data_soil_temperature.csv contains the time series of measured 5 cm soil temperature at the flux points.

microcosm_data.csv contains the data of the microcosm experiment. Columns are: datetime, sample name, sample temperature (15 or 25 c), sample moisture (control, M1 (moderate moisture), M2 (high moisture)), glucose addition (no glucose or with glucose), week (measurement week), ch4 flux.
