Material examined. Two syntypes NHM UK 2013.1093-1094, HMS “Triton” Stn 10: Atlantic, Northeast (Faroe Channel); 945 m.

Supplementary description. Poltarukha & Zevina (2006a).

Distribution. Atlantic, Northeast. Known depth range 945 to 2228 m.

Remarks. The species is similar to A. atlanticum (Gruvel, 1900) and can be confused with the latter (see Young, 1998 a, b). The differences, however, were subsequently enumerated by Young (2001a, 2002).
