Description
Crossing Boundaries targets a contextualised and interdisciplinary approach to the hieratic papyri in the Museo Egizio produced by the community of Deir el-Medina. We aim to cross the boundaries between archaeology, papyrology, and prosopography and to bridge the gap between traditional philology, digital humanities, and cultural heritage. In this poster, we show the current state of our digital tools (Turin Papyrus Online Platform, Virtual Light Table), first results of our machine learning research and other digital approaches used to facilitate the work on papyrus material.
