Systematische Anwendung computergestützter Verfahren in der Filmanalyse

This master thesis is a quantitative study of Michelangelo Antonioni's works, conducted in 2016 using Cinemetrics (www.cinemetrics.lv) and the VIDEANA analysis tool provided by Prof. Dr. Ralph Ewerth. Using Barry Salt's paradigm as a guideline, it was possible to identify a clear change in style based on shot sizes and camera movements, which extends existing, hermeneutic approaches in a differentiated way.
