Remarks: Three distinct morphological forms of the species were mentioned in the original description: the main one, form a, and form b. The form b, characterized by 2 strongly swollen sensilla on Ant. 4, was used later as additional material for description of W. arida. A single specimen from the Canning River Delta (form a) is probably a distinct unnamed species found also on Banks Island, NT (Babenko, unpubl.).
General distribution: Nearctic.
