Ceratophysella scotti Yosii 1962
Description
C. scotti Yosii, 1962
– Ceratophysella scotti Yosii, 1962: 14
AK Christiansen & Bellinger 1980, 1998; Skidmore 1995
Remarks: This record of the species from the Arctic tundra at Barrow Point appears to be rather problematic. Yosii’s original description of C. scotti is based on two Californian specimens. As Fjellberg (1985, p. 41) states, “judging from his description and figures it is hardly possible to distinguish C. scotti from C. succinea ”.
General distribution: Nearctic.
