Description

Laonice bahusiensis complex of species

Diagnosis. Notopodial postchaetal lamellae on several postbranchiate chaetigers interconnected by dorsal transverse crests.

Remarks. The species of this complex were not considered by Bogantes et al. (2018) or Guggolz et al. (2019). Our molecular analysis supports the monophyly of the clade comprising the specimens of Laonice (Laonice) with dorsal transverse crests on the postbranchiate chaetigers (Fig. 1), which is herein referred to as the L. bahusiensis complex of species for the first time.
