HISTORY OF TRANSLATION AND MODERN TRANSLATION

The article is an attempt at philosophical understanding of the theory and history of translation. The article deals with the historical aspects of translation as an activity, its cultural function and the main problems that emerged at the early stages of the development of translation activities.
