The Features of Correctional and Speech Therapy Work with Children with Disorders' Autism Spectrum in the Formation of Speech Activity
Description
The article identifies the key features of autism in preschool children. Autism has been shown to affect all parts of a child’s brain and is characterized by social interactions, interpersonal communication disorders, limited interests, and stereotypes. The study examined forms of autism in accordance with ICD-10. Peculiarities of the child with autism spectrum disorders speech development have been determined. The formation of speech activity of children with autism spectrum disorders methods of work: methods for replenishing vocabulary (ABA method), sign language, communicative image exchange system (PECS). Emphasis is placed on the complexity of work with children of this category: the method of speech therapy massage O. Novikova, articulation gymnastics according to the methodical recommendations of O. Krause, exercises on sensory integration according to the method of E. Rufus, Montessori didactic materials
