Features of the Implementation of the Director's Intent in Documentary Surveillance-film

The purpose of the research is to analyze the main features of the embodiment of the director’s intention in a documentary surveillance-film. Research methodology. The proposed article uses a systematic and integrated approach to the consideration of this problem, within the framework of which the components of the director’s concept and its transformation are analyzed when embodied in an audiovisual work. The scientific novelty consists of a detailed analysis of, drawing on the experience of domestic and foreign screen masters, that make up the director’s plan: from an accurate understanding of the idea to specific practical issues of working on the frame, sound solution and other elements of the screen work. Conclusions. Thus, an surveillance-film cannot be made according to a specific scenario, because it is a priori based on observing a real life in which unforeseen and unexpected events happen. But it also should not be simplified to informational fixation of the surrounding reality. Then, when the documentary reality is refracted through the director’s worldview, his philosophy, and worldview, with the help of a figurative reflection of reality, to which all the components of the director’s concept are subordinated, we can talk about the birth of a new screen reality of an audiovisual work.
