ЛЕКСИКО-СЕМАНТИЧНЕ ВИРАЖЕННЯ КОНЦЕПТІВ «БІЛИЙ», «ЧОРНИЙ» ТА «ЧЕРВОНИЙ» У ПОЕТИЧНІЙ КАРТИНІ СВІТУ УКРАЇНСЬКИХ НЕОКЛАСИКІВ (на матеріалі поезій М. Зерова, М. Драй-Хмари та П. Филипповича)

Description

The article deals with the concept as a means of verbal expression of ideas and knowledge about the objective world. In a writer’s poetic picture of the world concepts receive new meaning which reflects the features of his world view. Individual author concepts form the conceptual space of a literary text. Colour is an important means of conceptualizing objective reality for masters of artistic speech. In poetries the concept of colour usually has a number of interpretations and associations. The topicality of the research is due to the lack of studies analyzing the semantic content of concepts ≪white≫, ≪black≫ and ≪red≫ in the poetic works of Ukrainian neoclassicists. The aim of the article is to analyse the semantic content of concepts ≪white≫, ≪black≫ and ≪red≫ in the poetries of M. Zerov, M. Dray-Khmara and P. Fylyppovych. Achieving the aim involves solving the following tasks: 1) to submit the main features of the term ≪concept≫; 2) to present a definition of poetic picture of the world; 3) to describe general language and individual author’s The article deals with the concept as a means of verbal expression of ideas and knowledge about the objective world. Literature is the most appropriate and relevant material for analysis the features of semantic content and functioning of colour vocabulary. The concept ≪white≫ in the poetic texts of Ukrainian neoclassicists is a colour characteristic to vegetation, winter landscapes. In M. Zerov’s idiostyle ≪white≫ symbolizes death. ≪Black≫ is the concept that describes the colour of objects, phenomena and creatures. In certain contexts word-combination black ground symbolizes death. Concept creates the typical portrait images (black eyebrows, black braid), expresses negative emotions and events. The ≪red≫ marks the colour of sunrise and symbolizes the Soviet regime.
