Description

This dataset represents supporting data for the paper entitled Low-angle shear within the exposed Mânzălești diapir, Romania: salt decapitation in the Eastern Carpathians fold-and-thrust belt, which has been accepted for publication in Tectonics journal (https://doi.org/10.1029/2021TC006850).

The Mânzălești diapir forms the largest rock salt outcrop in Europe, with unique salt-karst geomorphology. We interpret it as a surface exposure of an intrasalt, sub-horizontal shear zone at the boundary between the Tarcău and Subcarpathian nappes in the Romanian Eastern Carpathians, specifically a decapitated salt diapir.

This dataset contains three digital outcrop models (DOM) presented in the above-mentioned paper, in the .obj format, and the related files (.mtl and .jpg). All three digital outcrop models presented in the paper have been exported with the WGS 84 / UTM zone 35N (EPSG::32635) coordinate system.

The orthomosaic contained in this dataset is a GeoTIFF (.tif format, and the related world file in .tfw format). The orthomosaic has been exported with the WGS 84 (EPSG::4326) coordinate system.
