Description

The dry type collection of the NHM contains the imaginal syntypes of Capnia oklandi Morton 1923

from Novaya Zemlya (Morton 1923). Morton cites 4♀ no. 130, 3♀ no. 174, 1 nymph no. 175 and 1 nymph no. 178. The seven imagines are preserved, four of these labelled as ‘TYPE’. Two of the latter, and one of the specimens not labelled as type, lack the abdomen. Capnia oklandi is considered a junior synonym of C. zaicevi Klap {lek, 1914 (Zhiltzova 1964; Zhiltzova 1966).
