Distribution. Western Atlantic— USA (North Carolina and Florida), Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, Suriname, Brazil (São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul) (Williams 1984; Rieger 1998; Melo 1999; Felder et al. 2009; Nucci & Melo 2011).
