Description

New observations of Icius hamatus (C.L. Koch, 1846) (Araneae: Salticidae) in Poland.
Icius hamatus (C.L. Koch) is a spider species occurring in North Africa, southern Europe and the Middle East. Along with the transport of fruit, especially pomegranates, persimmons and grapes, it is imported to Central Europe. In this paper, the authors discuss subsequent observations of this species in Poland. Moreover, the authors point out that information about the occurrence of I. hamatus in Tibet are incorrect.
