Description

Briarosaccus auratum N. SP.

Host: Lithodes aequispinus

Holotype: One externa removed from its host, L. aequispinus, Southeastern Alaska. Museum number YPM 74282. Paraype: One externa removed from its host, L. aequispinus, Southeastern Alaska. Museum number YPM 74383.

Molecular reference data: GenBank accession numbers KR812199 to KR812208 for COI, and KR812147 to KR812156 for 16S

Etymology: The species is named after its host L. aequispinus, which is known as the golden king crab.
