Description

The poster gives an overview of the transition of the Repository Finder [1] into DataCite Commons [2] within the FAIRsFAIR project to enable researchers identify FAIR enabling repositories [3] to either deposit their research data or find research output, organizations or researchers related to the repository. Using re3data as an extensive source for research data repositories the poster will also provide insights on the implementation of the related changes to the metadata schema and the API of re3data, being initial work towards greater FAIRness. These activities are carried out within the framework of the re3data COREF project [4]. As there are still many open questions like community agreed PIDs for repositories, final implementation of a “FAIR certification”, or collaboration with other catalogues and registries describing repositories, the poster session shall foster discussions about future works on these topics and evaluate reasonable developments to be integrated in the time to come.
