Distribution. Transeurasiatic, temperate. From European part of Russia to Kamchatka and Primorye, Sakhalin Isl., Kurils. Outside Russia in Europe, Transcaucasia, N Kazakhstan, Mongolia, NE China, Korea, Japan (Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu Isl.).

Hostplants: parvifoliate trees: Prunus, Populus, Salix, Alnus, Betula, Crataegus, Malus, also conifers: Larix (Beljaev 2016).
