ANALISIS KESALAHAN SINTAKSIS KETERAMPILAN BERBICARA MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN BAHASA DAN SASTRA INDONESIA IKIP SARASWATI

Description

This study aims to describe the syntactic errors made by the third semester students of the Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia IKIP Saraswati when practicing speaking. This study used a descriptive-qualitative research design. The subject of this research is a third semester student of the Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia IKIP Saraswati academic year 2020/2021 while the object is a syntactic error made by students when practicing speaking in the Presenter course. Data collection was carried out by recording and observation methods. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive-qualitative data analysis procedures which included three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification and drawing conclusions. The results showed that there were several kinds of errors made by students during speaking practice, the form of syntactic errors was the influence of 7 regional languages (15.22%), 1 use of inappropriate prepositions (2.17%), 4 word composition errors (8.70%), 5 excessive use of elements (10.87%), 17 non-subject sentences (36.95%), 5 non-predicated sentences (10 , 87%), sentences that are not subject and not predicated are 2 (4.35%), sentences that are not logical are 3 (6.52%), and excessive use of conjunctions is 2 (4.35%). Errors in the syntactic field that are made by students are dominated by errors due to sentences that are not subject to.
