Simulation file for: Josephson-junction infrared single-photon detector

Description

IRGJJSPD.aedt is a setup file in “ANSYS Electronics Desktop Project Files” format that will run with ANSYS HFSS (high-frequency structure simulator by ANSYS, Inc.) commercial simulation software.

The file is compatible with ANSYS HFSS 2021 R1.

The scale is 1:10000, or 1cm corresponds to 1um.

The key project variables to simulate photon absorption in sample A, B, C, and D in https://arxiv.org/abs/2011.02624 are:

$width : The width of the graphene at the junction, 2.8um or 1.5um
$length: The length of hBN stack is 160 nm

$h_NbN:  The thickness of NbN in the Ti/Nb/NbN stack: 50nm or 100nm
$h_Nb:   The thickness of Nb in the Ti/Nb/NbN stack: 2.5nm or 5nm

$angle:  Polarization angle

The relevant HFSS calculator expressions are:

Loss_BIW:
The integrated loss of the graphene

abs_box1 to abs_box20:
The integrated loss in the Ti/Nb/NbN stack
