Description

Ixodes kerguelenensis André & Colas-Belcour, 1942

Host(s)

Seabirds: Diomedea exulans, Lugensa brevirostris, Pterodroma mollis, Pterodroma solandri, Pachyptila desolata, Pachyptila turtur, Pachyptila vittata, Procellaria aequinoctialis, Procellaria cinerea, Puffinus tenuirostris, Puffinus carneipes, Puffinus griseus, Pelagodroma marina maoriana, Pelecanoides urinatrix subspecies, Pelecanoides urinatrix exsul, Pelecanoides georgicus.

Land bird: Strigops habroptilus.

Distribution

World: South Australia, Bass Strait islands, Tasmania, Lord Howe Island, Marion, Kerguelen and Heard Islands (South Indian Ocean).

New Zealand: North and South Islands, Stewart Island, Chatham, Auckland, Antipodes, Campbell and Macquarie Islands.
