Digitalization: Evolution or Revolution?

The education systems around the world have undergone major changes, which were favored by the technological revolution. Digitization is an area strongly addressed in the field of public policy and economics, as well as in academia. Teachers are increasingly interested in how to implement ICT in the instructional-educational process, being aware of the need to change their approach to the whole concept of teaching-learning in the age of information technologies. The effects of the ongoing pandemic, the restrictions imposed by it and online learning are still being observed, analyzed, and understood; it is difficult to estimate  their exact impact, even in the medium term.
