EOSC within National Strategies for Digital Skills: Gap Analysis Study
Description
The Gap Analysis Study is a deliverable of the study assigned by EOSC Secretariat, entilted: EOSC WITHIN NATIONAL STRATEGIES FOR DIGITAL SKILLS, which follows the Landscape Analysis. The aim of the study if to identify gaps and overlaps of existing national initiatives on Digital Skills compared to the envisioned EOSC Skills and Training goals and priorities proposed in the EOSC Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda (SRIA).
Having completed a mapping of the 9 representative countries, the comparison has been performed, mainly qualitative, based on the priorities set by EOSC as well as among countries. The gaps or overlaps revealed in each country’s digital skills strategies focusing mainly on the open science field and the research era, with the aim to indicate whether additional emphasis should be put to the alignment of the relative national plans, as well as whether common needs drive to common actions, to be considered in the recommendations to EOSC, elaborated in the following steps of the overall study.
