Description
Flabellum areum Cairns, 1982
Material examined: BBB 2016: St. 13; St.18; St. 25; St. 38. PD BB 2017: St. 14; St. 31 (MACN-In: 41693, 41694, 41695, 41696, 41697, 41698, 41699).
Distribution: Between 38ºS and Malvinas (Falkland) Islands, beyond the shelf break and near Tierra del Fuego (Cairns 1982; Cairns & Polonio 2013); Antarctica, 64ºS (Schejter et al. 2016b).
Remarks: The species was recorded at the MPAs Namuncurá I and II (see Schejter & Bremec 2019).
