Description

Phyllodromia melanocephala (Fabricius)

Empis melanocephala Fabricius, 1794: 407. Type locality: “Habitat Hafnia” (= Copenhagen), Denmark.

Distribution. Palaearctic: Europe: Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Russia (European part, Siberia), Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland.

Remarks. Recorded from Serbia by Horvat (1990).
