THE ROLE OF THERAPEUTIC FOOTWEAR IN PREVENTION OF DIABETIC FOOT

Description

Ulceration is basically related to peripheral arterial disease and peripheral neuropathy, and sometimes a combination of both. The risk further increases if the person has previously ulceration history. The foot of diabetic person passes through screening process to identify the seriousness and degree of risks for foot ulceration.1

The footwear generally helps the foot ulceration y providing pressures to increase the blood flow. It is considered to be a marvelous strategy in preventing re ulceration.

Restorative footwear is commonly viewed as a significant mediation in forestalling re-ulceration. This is in spite of the absence of convincing proof for forestalling first and ensuing ulcers and the reality that ulcer repeat rates stay clear in clinical practice.2 Nonetheless, as a part of the entire bundle of care, including other intercessions, and understanding training, it has a significant task to carry out if the correct shoes are given to the correct patients in the right way.
