ANALYSIS OF LIVING STANDARDS OF THE POPULATION OF MOSCOW AND MOSCOW REGION

The article is devoted to the review of the living standard indicators of the Moscow and Moscow region population in the dynamics over the last 5 years (2011-2016). Based on the statistical data on incomes and expenditures of the population in the regions, the author compares the changes in the subsistence minimum, per capita income and real incomes of the population in Moscow and the Moscow Region. In conclusion, the author comes to the conclusion that none of the methodologies does give a clear idea about the real standard of living. However, according to the criteria considered, it can be argued that both regions are confidently moving towards development, each year improving standards of living.
