Description

Aconitum pyrenaicum Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 532. 1753.

"Habitat in Sibiria, Tataria, Pyrenaeis." RCN: 3955.

Lectotype (Tamura & Lauener in Notes Roy. Bot. Gard. Edinburgh 37: 447. 1979): Herb. Linn. No. 695.4 (LINN).

Current name: Aconitum pyrenaicum L. (Ranunculaceae).

Note: Tamura & Lauener, in typifying the name, suggested that it should be rejected and A. barbatum Pers. used in its place. However, no formal rejection proposal has been made.
