Description
Rio Kirkaldy, 1909 is revised on the basis of morphological characters, with emphasis on the external genitalia of both sexes. Six species are recognized: R. insularis Ruckes, 1960; R. testaceus Ruckes, 1960; R. obscuratus Ruckes, 1960; R. variegatus Ruckes, 1960; R. pectoralis (Stål, 1860) and R. politulus (Distant, 1893). A key and illustrations of the genitalia of both sexes are provided.
