The presentation introduces the concept of culture change and argues that Open Scholarship Communities can play a significant part towards the culture change that is required to make Open Science the norm within research and scholarly communications. Academic libraries play an important role in that process.

The Open Scholarship Community Galway (OSCG) was founded in 2019 with Dutch models in mind. OSCG's activities, challenges and achievements are presented.
