Description

This paper presents an experiment in which we used animal-borne accelerometers to count the number of mating acts, measure energy expenditure (through tail beat frequency and temperature) and estimate slimming of a fish throughout its spawning season in the field. The study results in both original knowledge on the fish's ecology and insight into novel application of accelerometry.
