Description
Biographical sketch on the life and works Richard Foerster (1843–1922), philologist, archeologist and art historian. Foerster is mainly known for his contributions to classical scholarship, i.e his editions of the Physiognomonici Graeci, Libanius, and Choricius of Gaza. He also worked on ancient and early modern art history, especially on the Laocoon group and Silesian artists.
