Description

The article is devoted to the designation of the phenomenon of «politics» in the Russian language at present and in various historical periods.
The article notes that the two problems of «political science» remain unchanged - the lack of a unified theory of politics and the problem of its (political science) naming. The use of three English terms to refer to politics («polity», «policy», «politics») is called the «political science triangle». The indicated «political science triangle» is the first «D» of the «3D*3» concept of politics. In the modern science of politics, three paradigms or schools of political theory have become established: normative-ontological, critical-dialectical. empirical and analytical. Their analysis constitutes the second «D» of the «3D*3» concept of politics. The concept of «two cycles» of the three main elements of the political system (between «politics», «governance» and «public»), introduced by Nicholas Luman, is the third «D» of the «3D*3» concept of politics.
The authors come to the conclusion that in this complex picture of a real science of politics, natural scientific discourse, for several reasons, reaches the level of «religious» or «scientific war». The thesis about the crisis of political science is quite old. He was seen in the absence of universal theories of politics, and in the excessive diversity of political theories, and in the insufficient explanatory and prognostic ability of this science. That is why it should be borne in mind that any description of society or politics is possible only within the framework of society and politics themselves, that is, it is possible only as a self-description or a different description based on «autology». With regard to allegations of a political crisis, a large number of symptoms of this crisis are called. The most common of them are: the thesis of depoliticization of politics; a crisis of politics is seen in its «economization»; a crisis of politics is seen as a crisis of the global role of the USA in the world; a political crisis is the basis for the approval of the theses on «post-democracy» and «post-politics»; the crisis of politics is seen in the crisis of immigration policy in Western Europe and USA.
