Translation Proofing: Quantitative Tools for Connecting Metadata Dialects

Metadata comes in many dialects, some standard and some community conventions. Translating between dialects is an important way to increase the cross-domain or community reach of the metadata. Understanding what content is lost in translation is critical to maintaining integrity of the information across translations. This presentation introduces an approach to quantitatively measuring what is lost in translation.
