Fatḥnâma-i-Khûnkâr-i-Rûm (فتح نامۀ خونکار روم).

The campaign of Sulṭân Muḥammad III (who ascended the throne of Turkey A.H. 1003, and died A.H. 1012=A.D. 1595-1604) against Hungary in A.H. 1005 (A.D. 1596, 1597), see fol. 1b, I. 3, translated according to the last words of this little tract from Turkish into Persian. No author’s or translator’s name appears anywhere. On fol. 1a the tract is styled نسخۀ فتح نامۀ روم. Beginning:

الحمد لمن لا نصر الّا من عنده و الصلوة و السلام علی حبیبه الخ

Quite modern handwriting, from A.H. 1217 (A.D. 1802, 1803), probably copied at Seringapatam, like the second and larger half of this MS., which is apparently written by the same transcriber.

Bibliotheca Leydeniana.

No. 2469, ff. 1-15, II.11; large Nasta’lîḳ; size, 81/8 in. by 6 in.
