Green chemistry involves technologies which are energy efficient, minimize or preferably eliminate the
generation of waste, avoid the applications of toxic and hazardous solvents, reagents/materials, and utilize
renewable raw materials. Nano and bio-catalysis play significant role in green and sustainable technologies. In this
overview, some important issues pertaining to the nano- and biocatalysis in green chemistry as well as recent trends
and future prospects are highlighted.
