The purpose of this work is making an analysis of the current situation of students with intellectual disabilities and / or mental illness who are serving a sentence in a Penitentiary Center of the European Union in order to deduce whether or not this group of people has access to inclusive education.
The legislation dictated in prison area, educational and rights of persons with disabilities as well as the resources, projects and instruments that have been provided in the European Union in order to implement inclusive education in prisons.
