ОСОБЛИВОСТІ ФОРМУВАННЯ ІНШОМОВНОЇ ФОНЕТИЧНОЇ КОМПЕТЕНЦІЇ (на базі французької мови)

Nowadays it is very important to know foreign languages. It is not just an opportunity to expand one’s knowledge and expertise, but it is also a necessary component of education, of everyday life as well as of the professional sphere. Therefore, the process of mastering a language is paid a lot of attention to, sometimes even more attention is paid here than in learning one’s native language. So, modern researchers are interested in foreign competence formation, and this issue continues to be topical for many scientific works. The article deals with the peculiarities of phonetic competence formation on the example of French. In general, language is considered to be a system of signs, which ensures the communication process. And the skill of making up phrases and understanding other people’s speech by means of articulation and intonation comprises the notion of phonetic competence. The author pays special attention to the students’ psychological condition, which impacts motivation and material acquisition, that is, which ensures the quality and level of phonetic skills acquisition. It has also been stated that these issues have been the research object in a significant number of scientific works, aiming at the consideration of effective methods of phonetic competence formation in class, but not enough attention is paid to the consistency of independent studying while forming French phonetic competence. In conclusion, the author targets this article in making a list of useful advice, which may help to systematize independent, out of the class hours, practicing foreign communication more effectively, taking into consideration the peculiarity of the French phonetic system, in particular, pronunciation. It has been concluded that successful acquisition of phonetic competence depends on many factors, including that of a person’s psychological condition. Much time should also be dedicated to the development of the main language skills, communication in French, creating a certain language space by means of information technologies.
