TYPE SPECIES: Eutanypus borealis Coquillett, 1899e, by original designation.

CURRENT STATUS: Junior synonym of Diamesa Meigen in Waltl, 1835 [teste Poole (1996: 110)].

FAMILY: CHIRONOMIDAE.
